Earache Extreme Metal Racing Company Line

Posted Aug 7, 2006 1:48 pm PT
Designed in conjunction with Earache Records, Earache Extreme Metal Racing features ten evil Earache racing teams burning a lot more than rubber through hell and other wastelands. Along with themed tracks from the combatants on the starting grid there's also a plethora of extreme Earache classics making up the soundtrack of the game from such luminaries as Napalm Death, At The Gates, Cathedral, The Haunted, Hate Eternal, Cult Of Luna, Beecher, Urkraft, Anata, Mistress, Severe Torture and many others.

I have yet to hear any recaps on awesome art/events via my friendslist here. I want reports on top art pieces on my desk ASAP people.

omghi. yay for coffee.

I spent some more quality time with the Painter 9.5 demo and the Wacom. Clearly all of the many ways to manipulate brushes based on pressure and velocity and such are beyond deep and flexible. I need to pick one of the main books on Painter and just start at the beginning. Poking around randomly to learn this looks about as effective as it would be for photoshop or illustrator. But in any event, is obviously THE WAY to make sprites.

Now I'm sipping coffee and starting to do the platformer game tutorial for Torque 2D on TDN.

So Lego Star Wars II comes out in 9 days. I think it is the only game I am excited about for the rest of the year. I bought the current issue of Official Xbox Magazine yesterday just for the demo. It has lots of magical goodness. The level is much bigger and more run-around-and-explorey than the first game. You can indeed ride around in Luke's landspeeder, although it didn't seem to support both players hopping into the vehicle which was annoying. You can, however, have the other person jump onto the vehicle. Having Luke standing on the hood shooting at passers-by is amusing. Gun characters can do a little dodge maneuver with the same mechanics as a Jedi blaster deflection. I was pleased and amused by the whole segment where you build and assemble the parts of an AT-ST and can then march around town. On a scale of 1 to 10 I vote it LULZ/10 from the demo.

I watched a few episodes of a strange Gundam series with Martin and Paul the other night. My impression of it thus far was:

Guy1: Why can't you talk about your feelings?
Guy2: Because I'm upset about the other faction of robot pilots, okay? Can't I just be upset?

This entry has had no purpose. Once I get the basic top-down game mechanics going in Torque I will draw some sprites and post something.

German vector trees are all it takes to make me love something.

Also pretty interesting are some things but this guy Build. A bit overly IDMy for me, but still some goodness. Screen printing is awesome. We should all have a screen print party. Hmmmm.

Y HELLO THARCollapse )

help plz

I have a feeling this is going to get 0 replies but:

Does anyone have either a cd copy of Rah Digga's "Harriet Thugman" album or an mp3 of the track "straight spittin pt. 2"? iTunes has every track on the album ... except, mysteriously, THAT SONG. What the hell?

If anyone has this or can find it, I promise that you will be instrumental to a point which is currently in the future, but when it suddenly becomes Right Now, will be very, very, very much worth it.
Okay, I've been snoozing and just got clued into the new Too $hort/Snoop Dogg "Keep Bouncing" track. Streamables:

I'm amazed that did a decent beat, even if it is giving me "warhead" flashbacks. Ride cymbals win. This won't make up for previous Black Eyed Peas obnoxiousness but it's very well-produced. In any event. Where is an mp3? Nothing on legit mp3 channels, I'm not seeing any torrents through isohunt, no nfo of an official scene release that I see through a cursory look. I see some random DJ on with a mix that has it last. Leeching that through his rapidshare right now.

Update: that rapidshare blog has a good copy of this. or let me know if you need an email of it.

Dear Behemoth,

I love you passionately.

Take me,

Upcoming xbox360 live arcade title from the guys who did Alien Hominid.

The slogan at the end of the video is "Long Live 2D," by the time I got to that frame I jumped up and cheered, like a guy in a kilt in some movie where scotsmen rise up and fight for their freedom.

Can I just be honest and say that almost every 3d game looks exactly the same to me?

I didn't go to class tonight so I could organize my possessions and study Torque.

Small samurai hand-drawn 2d game is coming. Or at least I'm drawing people and reading torque tutorials when I have time. I need a scanner.
